Taken from a binder collecting some of his writings called "Louis Blake Duff, Occasional essays, Addresses."
In his 1959 obituary Duff was described as an “Eminent historian, inimitable humorist, and an after dinner speaker par excellence... a man of many parts. His career embraced the callings of county school teacher, newspaperman and publisher, bibliophile and financier."
Also included in the files is an article from the October 7, 1955 edition of the Welland Tribune providing more context on the event.
