James Douglas Watt was City Clerk of Welland between 1927 and 1967. He donated his yearly journals (1928 to 1966) to the WPL in 1970.
In the journals, he clipped newspaper articles of daily events at City Hall from the Welland Tribune, various other types of articles and pamphlets, and also annotated many days with his occupational notes. Looking through them, the researcher can get a robust overview of the events at Welland City Hall between 1928-1966.
Many pages were blank so only the pages he made additions to were scanned.
