Robert (1866-1953) served on the Council of Thorold Township for seven years, was elected chairman on the first Trustee Board in the Village of Fonthill, and was councillor there for many years. Also included in the files is a newspaper notice of his 50th wedding anniversary from February 27, 1941, and his obituary from June 5, 1953.
